Hi there! I’m excited to introduce Frozen Metchosin, our family business based in the beautiful Metchosin, BC. We started out of a desire for healthier snack options for our growing family, and now we’re thrilled to share our freeze-dried fruit and candy with you.
How it works
The process of Freeze-drying
The process involves three main steps: freezing the material, lowering the pressure to allow sublimation (where ice turns into vapour), and then drying, where remaining moisture is removed.
Shelf life
Freeze-dried food has several benefits, including a 25 year shelf life, making it ideal; for emergencies and long-term storage.
